9 BDC7A Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components or applications. The role requires working within dynamic project environments, applying modern development frameworks, and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions is a key aspect of the daily workflow, along with continuous improvement of existing software to meet evolving business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
– Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
– Responsible for team decisions.
– Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
– Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
– Lead the coordination of project activities to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
– Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
– Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
– Requirement gathering. Design enterprise-wide planning models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Workforce Planning).
– Develop and optimize complex Data Actions, Advanced Formulas, and Allocations. Configure predictive forecasting, version management, and driver-based planning scenarios.
– Integration architecture between SAC and SAP/non-SAP data sources (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere) via live and import connections.
– Performance optimization, and scalable architecture. User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, and post-go-live hypercare support.
Professional & Technical Skills:
– Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning.
– Strong experience in designing and implementing custom software solutions using modern development frameworks.
– Ability to work within agile project environments and contribute to iterative development cycles.
– Skilled in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
– Experience in optimizing software performance and ensuring scalability of solutions.
– Competence in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated software components.
– At least 2-3 end-to-end SAC Planning implementation lifecycles.
– Understanding of corporate budgeting, forecasting cycles, and variance analysis.
– Proficiency in data actions, advanced formulas, scripting, and SAC predictive capabilities.
– SAC planning skills including advanced allocations, rolling forecasts, simulations, distributions, and data audit.
– Ability to create story canvases, Smart Discovery, and advanced data visualizations (charts, tables, maps, filters).
– Design and implement SAP Analytics Cloud solutions, connect data sources, code cloud applications, and develop logic in SAC. Requires expertise in configuring data actions and multi-actions, and planning for enhancements and operations.
Additional Information:
– The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning.
– This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
– A 15 years full time education is required.
